FOR YOUR OWN PROTECTION, PLEASE READ!

People lose millions of dollars each year to con artists. Many scams involve the use of Greendot money cards. Before you make your purchase, ask yourself the following questions to see if you have been or might be a victim of a Scam:

Have you been told by someone purporting to be your grandchild that they are in trouble and need you to send money and to NOT tell their parents?

Have you been sent a check and instructed to send out partial funds and retain a fee?

Were you advised that you had won an out of country lottery you never entered?

Have you received a telephone call from a person claiming to be with the IRS telling you that you owe taxes and will be arrested if you don’t pay immediately?

If you have answered “YES” to any of these questions, the chances are likely that you are being conned, and should contact the police immediately. If you have any questions or concerns please contact your local police department immediately.
